Music

Everytime Vuca Pinheiro releases a new album the public is joyfully happy and thankful because they know of his blind search for the truth surrounding the music and lyrics, the rightful composers, and all the purity of our traditional music. After endless researches, he always tries to bring out to the public the less known and the less publicized items of our folklore. Other musicians constantly rely on his researches in order to redo songs first released on his albums. He was the first "bravense" (from Brava Island) to record exclusively "mornas" from Brava that were slowly and surely being forgotten. As a pioneer in this field he helped to bring out to the public lots of compositions of indisputable beauty and value to the Capeverdean folklore.
